Located on the first floor of the Farrison-Newton Communications Building, the renovated North Carolina Central University TV Broadcast Studio serves as a training ground for dedicated Mass Communication students to gain hands-on experience in the professional world of visual broadcast production. Post-renovation, the high-tech studio suite features a new entry, broadcast area and support spaces, and utilizes an open design to showcase the innerworkings of the space.
MMSA, Inc. is honored to provide structural engineering design for this project effort.
The award-winning project is highlighted among the 2020 NOMA Phil Freelon Professional Design Award Winners and is also featured in ARCHITECT magazine.
