MMSA provided structural engineering design and construction administration services for the Clemson University Agricultural Biotechnology/Molecular Biology Complex. The complex houses biotech research spaces and laboratories, with all laboratories outfitted with benches, sinks, fume hoods and standard safety equipment. The facility is an approximately 93,000 gsf building including 56,000 nsf of laboratory and laboratory support spaces.
The new complex is located in the area southeast of Newman Hall and directly north of the existing greenhouse site. New greenhouses and headhouses occupy the existing greenhouse site. The building is also compatible with the college president’s vision of campus architecture and compatibility with significant campus buildings.
