Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School, located on the Millennium campus adjacent to CU-ICAR, is the recipient of a three Green Globe rating through the U.S. Green Building Initiative’s (GBI) nationally recognized green rating assessment, guidance, and certification program. It is also the first project-based, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) middle school in Greenville County. Accepting its inaugural class in fall 2014, the school now consists of nine inner-school learning communities and follows a unique transdisciplinary learning curriculum focusing on student engagement through a project-based learning model.
