The new Whale Branch High School houses approximately 1,000 students in grades 9-12 with the capability of expanding to 1,500 students. The building is approximately 180,000 sf. This one- and two-story structure includes a steel frame with precast concrete panels and masonry for exterior wall and shear walls supporting structural steel and joist framing. The roof system consists of bar, joist and steel deck with a built-up roof system.
